Supplemental Information to the Compliance Certification Application for the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant
The Compliance Certification Application (CCA), submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) by the Department of Energy (DOE) on October 29, 1996, met the administrative completeness requirements contained in the regulations (40 CFR 191) and criteria (40 CFR 194), as well as the requirements in EPA's Compliance Application Guidance. After that October, 1996 submittal, DOE has continued to provide information to EPA in response to requests made pursuant to EPA's authority under the Land Withdrawal Amendments Act. This supplemental information is maintained by EPA in their rulemaking docket.
All of the documents that are used in EPA's rulemaking process are available to the public for review at four docket locations. These dockets are located at three locations in New Mexico as well as EPA headquarters in Washington, D.C.:
