U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Carlsbad Field Office and Nuclear Waste Partnership LLC (NWP).
WHAT:
CBFO and NWP will host an in person and virtual meeting to provide a short update on the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant with an extended question and answer period to follow. A WIPP truck with empty transportation casks will be parked outside the venue so stakeholders can see, first hand, the built in safety components of the WIPP Transportation System.
An open house is scheduled following the meeting to allow stakeholders to spend one-on-one time with the
WIPP leadership team.
